The Rowing Canal in the city of Plovdiv is a sports facility for rowing. It is the largest of its kind in the Balkans where rowing competitions can be held. The channel is 2 200 meters long, 120 meters wide and three meters deep.
Plovdiv won the Under-23 World Rowing Championship
Plovdiv was chosen unanimously as host of the Under-23 World Rowing Championship in 2017. The decision was made during the regular congress of The International Rowing Federation /FISA/ which took place In Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
